About Me
I am a trained psychologist and my particular interest is in psycho-oncology and the end of life arose from the arrival of breast cancer in our family, my mother being the first diagnosed. From that moment on I did a specialty and have had the opportunity to support patients privately or through associations, on the difficult path of the disease.
In my private practice I offer psychological therapy specialized in patients suffering from cancer and other complicated diseases. I founded Travesías de Tinta, which is a group focused on writing for emotional welfare. I have published articles in several languages about art and psychotherapy fusion.
I’m currently a member of the International Psycho-Onchology Society, the Pan American Association of Palliative Care, the Chanadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and the Society for Integrative Oncology.
Education
I studied my Bachelor Degree in Psychology at Universidad del Noreste. I hold a Master Degree in Counseling and Family Education from the Universidad de Villanueva and a specialization in the area of Psycho-oncology from ISEP. In addition, I am currently studying my Ph. Degree at the Centro de Investigaciones en Ciencias, Artes y Humanidades.
I am trained as an instructor for cultivating compassion through a protocol developed by Stanford University and the Compassion Institute.
Work
Experience
I collaborate with associations dedicated to supporting patients with breast cancer and I am a member of Susan G. Komen within the group of "Advocates in Science," where we seek that patients get closer to science and learn more about their disease.
I am currently offering the former training in workshops through the Elisabeth Kübler Ross Foundation Mexico where I am a professor and member of the Administration Board. I also offer behavioral and emotional support to breast cancer patients at Unidas Contigo and serve as a leading member in the education committee.
